The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never ceases, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:22-23 (NASB)
Oh, what a journey… Where to begin with this amazing ride we’ve had?
What started off as a bunch of teens with a heart to reach other teens turned into so much more! A small group who had a heart to tackle difficult questions, to approach touchy subjects and to communicate the pure truth of God’s Word to our readers. Never did we think or guess how much we would be shaped and grown through this ourselves…
So many times, I would be given a topic or got to choose a verse to expound on and then that would be the precise thing the Lord spoke to me about that week. When I was pondering on how to make this piece meaningful, the Lord would challenge me on exactly those aspects in my own life. He would gently nudge me along and show His faithfulness. So, so many times that would be the case.
I would be given a topic to write on the faithfulness of the Lord and may feel doubtful of that characteristic within that month, but then in the week where my article is due, the Lord would show up and just remind me. He would bless my family with His provisions that we were undeserving of. He would provide money for the electricity bill the day it is due; He would send food from a family just in the week when we are not sure where the finances for the groceries would come from. The Lord provides. The Lord is faithful. Then I would be able to write and testify in a blog post about the Lord’s faithfulness – what an honor and privilege! It was such a great way to be able to share. Writing and sharing about God’s Word, works, grace and faithfulness has been so amazing! It is a tool we often overlook as Christians. The power of writing what the Lord does in our lives. As a reminder to ourselves of how far we’ve come. Of how much He’s done. Of all we’ve learned throughout our walk with Him.
After the passing of my dad, some of my extended family members were referred to read some of my posts. Some people who I would not have reached or spoken to personally after the immense loss, but some who were also thrown and touched by it. To some it was an encouragement, to some an eye-opener. The impact of this blog and the spheres it has reached is actually unbelievable! It has been read in the Netherlands, in London, in small towns in South Africa and by avid readers in the States and even some readers in Hawaii. It has been such a blessing to be able to be a part of this amazing ministry and to be able to reach so many.
I want to praise the Lord for His work through this blog! I want to thank Him for the work He has done in me through this! I want to praise Him for all who has been reached through this blog. I want to thank Him for using some of my story, some of what He taught me, some of what has challenged me to reach others.
So, keep writing Christian. Tell of God’s faithfulness. This is a message as much to you as it is to me. Testify of God’s goodness. Tell those around you. Write it down if even just for yourselves. Your story matters. Keep writing as you journey with the Lord.
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. – Philippians 1:6 (ESV)
