Welcome to the Reckless Abandon Challenge! We are so excited that you have decided to join us on this journey of reckless abandonment. Before we begin, there are a few things that we ask you to keep in mind in order to get as much as possible out of this experience.
First of all, we need you to understand why we have created the #recklessabandonchallenge. It may not seem like it right now, but 30 days is a long time. If you’re anything like me, the prospect of starting new projects is always exciting, but actually finishing them? That’s a completely different story. Sheer curiosity will get us through a couple of days or even a week, but nothing short of commitment will allow us to finish. What are we committed to?
Our goal this month is to wrap our heads and our hearts around what it really means to follow Jesus. We’re tired of watching ourselves and our peers live lives filled by the mundane and meaningless. We long for a life of purpose, and we believe that humanity’s purpose and reason for existence is realised in our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. At Reckless Abandon Ministries, we’re dedicated to coming alongside you and helping you live a life that is sold out for our Saviour.
Once you’ve realised the why behind the challenge, it’s imperative that you understand how everything will actually work. What are our expectations?

Accountability & Help
The final thing necessary for your success is accountability—which we’re calling the who behind the challenge.
In preparing for the #recklessabandonchallenge, our incredible team of writers and thinkers spent countless hours talking through the ins & outs, ups & down of the content we would be releasing. We found that each and every one of our team members brought a unique perspective to the table, and it took the collective effort of all of us in order to succeed in creating it. In the same way, you will depend on the help of your team to complete this challenge. You need to pull in those individuals in your life who are willing to accompany you on this journey of reckless abandonment, holding you accountable at every step along the way. Those individuals may be parents, youth leaders, or even just other Christian young people that have the same desire to grow in Christlikeness that you do. Regardless of who you choose to ask, we do ask that you pull in at least one person, and the more, the merrier.
Invite at least one other person to do the challenge alongside you, holding you accountable, and helping you get as much as possible out of this challenge.
